The third Se4U meeting took place on April 24th 2017 at the home of Ayelet de Piccioto, ITI’s Clinical Director.

The topic was ‘Introduction to TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) – exercises for the release of stress and trauma.11

The response to the invitation was overwhelming, but only 20 members of the SE® Community could participate due to limited place. Participants ranged from SE® students to experienced SEPs from all over the country.

Ms. Anya Blum, who introduced TRE®   to Israel and is the first TRE® practitioner in Israel, lead a series of exercises after a short lecture.

TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercise) is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma  that have accumulated as a result of daily life activities, difficult experiences, acute or chronic stress situations, as well as traumatic life experiences (such as natural disasters, social and domestic violence).

TRE® includes a series of six exercises that safely activate a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.

Anya linked TRE® and SE® and it felt like the participants left with a taste for more! We enjoyed good mingling, as usual in these meetings, which only stressed the importance of these professional meetings within our community!
